Danna Sevigny - Owner/Director/Instructor
Miss Danna has been dancing since the age of 3. She has 30+ years of dance training under her belt and has been teaching for 18 years all over Alberta. She has had the pleasure of training in Jazz (ADAPT), Tap (ADAPT), Ballet (RAD,ISTD), Hip-Hop, Lyrical, German Dance and Musical theatre.
Over the years Miss Danna has traveled many places to learn valuable dance knowledge and perform all across Alberta, British Columbia, Las Vegas, Chicago, New York and Europe. She has won many high score awards, outstanding, adjudicator’s choice as well as numerous awards for her solo at the prestigious Artist Emerge in 2006. While dancing with a professional Hip-Hop crew based out of Edmonton she performed as the opening act for KC & Jojo, Joel Madden, Fanny Pack, Jabbawockeez & Super Crew. More recently she has had the chance to perform in Las Vegas, Chicago and in Germany in front of thousands.
Miss Danna has always had a love for teaching but in 2013 after a car accident, she was left with numerous injuries. Although she lost her ability to dance to her full potential, she saw an opportunity to continue to grow as a dance teacher and has been going full speed ahead ever since. While teaching at numerous studios in Alberta Miss Danna’s groups have received multiple choreography awards, including top choreography for the entire festival numerous years in a row as well as her groups winning outstanding, adjudicators choice or high score overall in multiple competitions.
More recently, she has found a love for adjudicating and has had the opportunity to do so across Alberta. The chance to share knowledge and witness talent from all over the place is inspiring and she looks forward to many more adventures adjudicating!
When Miss Danna isn’t at the studio, you will find her spending time with her husband and her beautiful kids, Remi & Everly!
She can’t wait to meet all of the students at Overdrive Dance Force and feels so fortunate to be living her dream with her best friend!
